We are delighted to be supporting City & Financial Global’s EV Infrastructure Summit, taking place at KPMG Canary Wharf on the 2nd June 2025.
The summit will provide a timely forum for discussion of the critical issues facing the industry.
With EVs taking a record 19.6% share of car sales in the UK last year – in the process, making the UK the largest market in Europe for electric car sales – the pressure is on to accelerate the delivery of a nationwide charging point network to meet current and anticipated demand for both domestic and commercial vehicles. However, while some progress is being made with approving planning applications and obtaining connections to the grid, most charge point operators complain about the difficulties they face in extending the network. A number of critical issues need to be addressed if the government’s EV ambitions are to be realised.
Some agenda topics include:
➡️ If EV charging infrastructure is fit for purpose
➡️ The EV mandate, supply and demand factors in the EV market
➡️ Alternative models for concessions. Update on EV charging delivery in the local authority market. LEVI funding
➡️ Creating a viable energy infrastructure for buses and coaches
➡️ New “Green Logistics Corridors” to create a sustainable freight
