When do you think the phase out date for the sale of new petrol or diesel cars should be? 2030, 2032, 2035 (the UK Government’s proposed new date), 2040 (the UK Government’s current target), or another date? Let us know what you think about this question and other EV-related issues by completing this survey: https://evsurvey.co.uk

The UK Government is seeking views on bringing forward the end of the sale of new petrol, diesel and hybrid cars and vans from 2040 to 2035, or earlier. The Electric Vehicle Association (EVA) England is conducting a survey so that current and prospective EV owners and drivers can have their voice heard in this important debate. Views are particularly being invited from current and prospective EV drivers, but responses from all drivers are welcome.

There are three sections to the survey and it should take less than 8 minutes to complete. You’ll need to be quick, as the deadline for responding is Wednesday 15 July.

Anonymised responses will form the basis of a consultation response and communications from EVA England.

The Electric Vehicle Association England, currently in the process of being set up, is a membership-focused organisation of passionate electric vehicle drivers in England committed to providing a voice for EV drivers and promoting the broader environmental and health benefits of electric vehicles. Membership will be open to individual current and prospective EV drivers.

EVA England’s mission is to be the voice of electric vehicle drivers in England and the organisation will:

  • Promote electric vehicle use in England.
  • Promote the environmental and health benefits of electric vehicles to the public in England.
  • Represent the interests of current and prospective electric vehicle drivers in England.
  • Provide services to electric vehicle drivers in England.
