What are the benefits of home charging?
If you have off-street parking, getting a home charger will reliably help you charged quicker, more conveniently and more affordably.
The government offers grant schemes to support the wider use of EVs via the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV): The EV chargepoint grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK.

Please note that since June 2022, private charge points need to have smart functionaly, which allows them to charge an electric vehicle when there is less demand on the grid, or when more renewable electricity is available. The regulations also ensure that charge points meet certain device-level requirements, enabling a minimum level of access, security and information for consumers.
